The waterfalls of Athirappilly are often known as Niagara Falls of India which fall from a height of 80 feet and are 330 feet wide. These falls are majestic in size and are considered to be the largest in Kerala. The waterfall is settled in the dense forest of Vazhachal. The forest surrounding Athitapally falls is one of the best biodiversity spots in the country. It is a paradise for nature lovers as one sees a wide variety of flora and fauna. There are no airports in Athirapally, or even very close to it, so for those wondering how to reach Athirapally by flight, the best thing to do is to take a flight to Kochi International Airport, from where a taxi can easily take you to Athirapally. Kochi is a mere 55 kms away from Athirapally. You can also board a state run or private bus service to take you to Chalakudy from Kochi.

By Train

There isn’t any railway station in Athirapally as well, so travelers looking to travel here via train would have to deboard at Chalakudy, which is the nearest railway station to Athirapally. The Athirapally waterfalls is a mere 25 kms away from Chalakudy. From here taxis and other shared local transport are easily available to take you to the Athirapally waterfalls.

      House boat on day one was not as expected. It was small compared to other possible options. No TV and no hotel water for bath. Hotel for 3rd day had no extra bed for which I had to pay seperately. Even after all the confirmation, basic things were missed out as mentioned.

      We planned our Kerala trip with Travel Triangle and Wondersky Travels. Hotels for Kochi was below average, Hotel in Munnar was the only hotel in entire trip which we felt great. Hotel for Thekkady was 12 kms away from Thekkady when we finished our activities in Thekkady we couldn't explore local ma
      rket as the hotel was 12 kms away from town and we had to go there. Houseboat in Allepy was of average quality. Although the houseboat staff was very polite and helpful we didn't felt that bad. Hotel in Kovalam was pathetic. The room which we got initially when we reached was very bad and smelly the linen and towels were very dirty and bathroom was in very bad condition. Our entire time for that day after check in got spoiled in bad mood. We called Sandeep from wondersky and explained the situation about room then he asked for images on whatsapp as proofs and had to ask him to change the room and all. Then he upgraded our room to a good room. The cab driver was friendly.

The drive through winding roads was scenic, and once we reached Munnar, the tranquility and beauty of the place left us in awe. We visited the Tea Museum and took a stroll through the tea plantations. The Eravikulam National Park, home to the Nilgiri Tahr, was another highlight.The evening Kathakali performance and the traditional martial arts display (Kalaripayattu) added a cultural touch to our trip. Thekkady: In Thekkady, we experienced the natural beauty of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. We also enjoyed a spice plantation tour, which was both educational and aromatic! Alleppey: Finally, we ended our Kerala adventure with a serene houseboat cruise in Alleppey. The backwaters of Kerala are absolutely mesmerizing, and drifting through the lush landscapes on a houseboat was incredibly relaxing. The staff on board were friendly, and the food served was nice. Travel Triangle Experience: We opted for Travel Triangle to plan our trip, and the entire process was seamless. The booking was easy, and the itinerary was well-curated. The accommodations at each location were comfortable and clean, and we had a reliable driver who made the long drives enjoyable. Everything was well-organized, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the Kerala experience without worrying about logistics. Overall: Kerala, with its rich natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality, is a must-visit destination. Our trip, planned by Travel Triangle, was smooth, stress-free, and memorable.       Dear Travel Traingle, I am writing to share my feedback on our recent trip to Kerala, which was organized by your agency. Overall, the trip was amazing, and we appreciate the efforts put in by your team to make it a memorable experience. The cab provided was excellent, and the driver was punctual
      and supportive throughout the journey. However, we faced a significant issue with the language barrier, which hindered our ability to communicate effectively with the driver. Despite assurances that the driver would be conversant in Hindi and English, we encountered difficulties in obtaining detailed guidance and instructions. We relied heavily on the itinerary provided, but unfortunately, it was not thoroughly explained to us. As a result, we had to repeatedly ask the driver about our next destination, which was disappointing. Regarding our hotel stays, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Alleppey and Kovalam. However, our experience in Varkala was marred by a delay of over half an hour in confirming our booking. Furthermore, the air conditioning in our room was not up to the mark, and the bathroom was congested. In conclusion, while we enjoyed our journey, there are areas that require improvement. We suggest providing more effective local-level guidance and ensuring that drivers are more interactive and communicative.
