By Air
Travelling by air is the best way to reach Bali from India. As many of the airlines have a layover at Kuala Lumpur, one can choose to book a flight from major cities of India up to Ngurah Rai International Airport. Garuda Indonesia runs a nonstop flight from Mumbai to Bali whereas there are only connecting flights available to travel from Delhi to Bali by air. One can also take a flight from India to Singapore and then board a flight to Bali. The airport is well connected to all the cities within the country as well as outside it. One can take a bus or taxi from the airport to reach their destination.
By Road
Bali, being an island, does not have any road connectivity with other parts of the world. Therefore, it is impossible to reach Bali by road directly. However, one can reach Singapore by road, and then take a ferry to reach Jakarta. Jakarta to Bali distance is about 1200 km; and it takes around 23 hours journey by bus from Jakarta to Bali. Thus, the route will be India- Myanmar- Thailand- Malaysia- Indonesia. Going to Bali by road is not recommended as it can take weeks to reach the destination. Also, one must have a visa and other permits for all the countries that are on the way, which makes the road trip very expensive.
