More than 300 meters in height this tower is one of the most eye-catching sights on the night skyline of the city. With some thrilling activities on the top few floors of the Macau Tower, the lower levels are decked with world-class restaurants and shopping plazas where you can find almost everything in high-end fashion and accessories. The Macau Tower has been attracting tourists, shopaholics, and adventure enthusiasts alike since it opened its doors to the public on the 19th of December, 2001.
Being a decorated member of the World Federation of Great Towers, this tower is not just an entertainment hub, but also an important center of telecommunication and broadcasting. Out of the 332 meters of its height, the massive Antenna sphere at this tower takes up the 100 meters on the top. Drawing its inspiration from the Soy Tower in Auckland, Macau Tower was commissioned by the casino billionaire Stanley Ho Hung-Sun.
Attractions at the Macau Tower
The observation deck is located at the tallest level of the tower, decked with floor to ceiling windows which give you unparalleled views of the city both during the day as well as the night. The interactive telescopes at the observation lounge, the cards for which are available at the ground floor counter. Guests can enjoy thrilling activities at the Adventure deck. Enjoy a SkyWalk experience, SkyJump as well as the highest commercial bungee jump in the world. Another must-do activity here is the Tower climb where participants get the chance of climbing all the way up the Antenna Sphere of the Macau Tower.
When it comes to indoor activities Macau tower also has a lot to offer. This tower has a large 3D movie theatre where you can take a break from all the adventure and enjoy a high definition movie. Eating options here include 360° Café - Macau’s only revolving restaurant where you can enjoy gourmet meals accompanied by stunning views. Other dining options include the Café on 4, Lua Azul, Tromba Rija, and a coffee shop called Singing Bean Express.
There is a wonderful shop at the Macau Tower, called the Macau Creations where the designs and creations of the local artists are displayed for sale.
