The road journey is quite hectic as it takes 30 hours to reach, hence not recommended. The nearest airport to Haridwar is Jolly Grant Airport (DED) which is located in Dehradun and is 20 km from the city of Haridwar. Hyderabad To Haridwar By Flight: If you are planning to travel from Hyderabad to Haridwar by air, you will have to take connecting flights from Delhi or Mumbai to Dehradun, the most accessible airport to Haridwar. Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun is the nearest airport to Dehradun located at a distance of 200 km. Hyderabad to Haridwar by flight directly is not in operation till date. However, a number of flights from Delhi or Mumbai are available. Plenty of cabs are available for hire at Dehradun airport to drop you at Haridwar.

Hyderabad to Haridwar By Train: If you are planning to go from Hyderabad to Haridwar by train, then you have made a right choice as train is one of the most convenient ways to travel from Hyderabad to Haridwar and also the cheapest. There are direct trains available from Kachiguda railway station or Secunderabad railway station that will directly take you up to Haridwar but no direct Hyderabad to Dehradun trains are available as of now. Travelers can board Secunderabad to Haridwar trains or Warangal to Haridwar trains for hassle-free commutation .The time taken by train between the two destinations is about 49 Hours. Hyderabad to Haridwar By Road: If you are planning to travel to Haridwar from Hyderabad by road, you will have to take Srinagar - Kanyakumari Hwy and NH 44 to cover the distance. Although the journey time is only about 29 Hours, you can easily split it into 2-3 days for a convenient drive.

Once you reach Haridwar then it would be quite easy to commute locally as Haridwar is a small city and there are autos, rickshaws and cabs available for local transportation. If you want to travel to Dehradun or Rishikesh from Haridwar, then you can take local buses or can also book a cab for comfortable commutation. The fare cost of transportation in Haridwar is fairly cheap and starts from 10 or 20 INR.

La Nivasa hotel was very nice and the food, hospitality of the staff was very friendly. Specail thanks to Deepak who worked in La Nivasa for taking care of our request. The Cab driver experience was okay and could be improved. The driving partner ask for extra cash if they need to wait after 6 p.m.

, this was never communicated before the trip and they do create a scene out of it. Last time when I visited Manali faced similar issue and this time in Nainital was not so different experience.
