Tips for Anamudi Peak

  • You may encounter leeches while trekking to the top of Anamudi Peak so make sure you wear leech socks
  • Carry a first-aid kit in case of any medical emergency on Anamudi peak trek
  • You can find all the Anamudi trek details at the forest office before climbing
  • Trek through the slippery slopes of the Anamudi Peak and carry about 2 litres of bottled water per person
  • Don’t visit this peak during February and March as this is the calving season of the Nilgiri Tahrs
  • If you feel like you can’t trek to the top of the peak, there are air-conditioned luxury buses you can take that will help you explore the Tea Museum, KFDC Floriculture Centre, Rajamalai, the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, and Lakkom Waterfalls.

    Faced an issue with agent while arranging driver for my trip, without getting confirmation from driver,agent gave driver details to me. When I reached kochi and called driver,he said no bookings are there for him.we were shocked and asked agent about what happens, then she arranged driver and send.b
    ut she didn’t informed driver about toll fee and parking charges are included in package so driver asked us parking charges,so we had to pay double. Except this issue everything was smooth.

    Trip was fine. But hotel "the view munnar" was not good at all as the Lift was not working and 1st day there was no water supply in bathroom. Cab was good and the next hotel "pagoda " was very nice. Maximum things were not covered in the package. They say site seeing is covered but later the local
    ites asked to book a jeep for further sight seeing. The best part was the art show(Kathakali and kalaripattu) and alleppey boat ride , which was not covered in the package. We had to pay separately for that.
