How to Reach Happy Valley Racecourse

The easiest way you find to reach the Happy Valley is taking a taxi from the star ferry and the taxi will drop you at the Member Enclosure Entrance. If you don't want to spend your cash on the taxi you can also take a walk from the MTR to the Member Enclosure Entrance or you can take the street tram. However, these options will take more time and you will find crowded in between. After reaching to the Member Enclosure Entrance show your passport at the ticket window to buy the ticket. On your way to the Member Enclosure Entrance, you can have closer look at the horses as it is right next to the walking ring/winners circle. You can stay at the Holiday Inn Express which is the best option and it is about a 10 min walking distance from the Happy Valley racecourse. In case you are visiting the racecourse for the first time. you should buy the tourist ticket from the Member Enclosure Entrance. The basic ticket will cost you HK$10 which is for the standing room on the stand and let you view the race 2 hours or longer.

You can also purchase the public seated ticket to enjoy the race more comfortable worth HK$20. The race generally starts at 7 p.m. and ran until 11 p.m. The tickets of the races are generally available on the day of racing but if you are planning for the big event try to look in advance for the tickets.
