Best Time To Visit Diu

Located at the eastern end of Diu island, Diu is a coastal town connected by a bridge to the mainland Gujarat. This place is known for the Diu fort, 16th-century Portuguese citadel, St. Paul Church, St. Thomas Church and the views of Arabian sea. The best time to visit Diu is from November to February considering its weather.

March to May (30°C - 38°C)

The months of March to May are the time for the summer season in Diu. This time is not so favorable time for planning a trip to Diu as it is really hot. However, being a coastal area, the mornings and evenings are comparatively cooler. Hence, people plan a trip to Diu during this season as hotel prices are also quite low.

June to September (25°C - 32°C)

If you are planning your visit Diu anytime between August and October, you are likely to experience expected heavy rainfalls. Winds are common since these months constitute the monsoon season in Diu. However, it is still a fairly good time to plan a visit to Diu since due to the rain the weather is moderate and good for sightseeing if you are a rain lover.

October - February (15°C - 29°C)

Winter is the best time to visit Diu. From the months of October and February, one can easily enjoy sightseeing without any hassle and enjoying the tourist activities. Moreover, since Diu’s weather remains chilly, therefore, you will not have to worry about the unbearable heat of summer or a sudden downpour. The temperature during these months ranges from 12°C to 23°C.

During the summer season, Diu’s temperature reaches as high as 38°C. Therefore, the summer season is not considered as one of the best times to visit Diu. Normal activities like sightseeing become exhausting even in the afternoons in the summer season in Diu. However, this is one of the tourist seasons to visit Diu.

Monsoon Season in Diu

Monsoon in Diu can bring heavy downpours and strong winds. On the other hand, it also brings a slight drop in temperature which goes down as low to 23 degree celsius. Therefore, the monsoon season is also a great time for a brief visit to the coastal town of Diu.

Winter Season in Diu

During the winter season, the temperature in Diu can fall as low as 12 degree celsius. However, it is the best time to visit Diu. Uninterrupted by rains, storms and scorching heat, the winter months between November to February provide you with chilly weather for sightseeing. It is when most people plan their visit to Diu.

The itinerary included Ahmedabad, Gir Forest, Somnath, Porbandar, Dwarka, Bhuj, and the Rann of Kutch. Our driver, Mr. Shafi, ensured a seamless and comfortable journey, maintaining a clean vehic
    le and providing exceptional support, including managing our luggage with great care. The accommodations were well-selected, with Fern Sattva in Dwarka and Sarovar Portico in Somnath standing out for their exceptional ambience and hospitality. Regenta Resort in Bhuj was also impressive. We successfully covered most major landmarks, temples, and sightseeing points, including an unforgettable stay at the Harappan-themed Tent City in Dholavira and the breathtaking White Rann. While the Tent City offered a unique experience, it lacked some of the adventurous and cultural activities that were more prominent in Dhordo as we got to know, which limited the overall excitement. Despite this minor shortcoming, the trip was well-organized and highly enjoyable.
