By Air: Pakyong Airport is the only airport in Sikkim, thus making it the only airbase in the state. It is situated approximately 27 km away from Gangtok. By Road: The state of Sikkim is well-connected by road. One can opt to travel to the state via state transport buses and private vehicles. By Rail: At the moment, there is no functional railway station in Sikkim. However, in order to reach the state via railways, one can opt to travel till some of the nearest railheads. The nearest railway junctions from Sikkim are New Jalpaiguri Junction and Siliguri Railway Junction.
