How to reach Chandigarh is not a tough task as Chandigarh airport is connected to various parts of India through a flawless flight network. Domestic flights have credible connectivity to Chandigarh from cities such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Srinagar, and Goa.
Nearest Airport to Chandigarh is Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport at a distance of 13 km from the Chandigarh city center. The Chandigarh railway station is about 8 km from the city centre. Chandigarh train network has several frequent trains that connect the city to other cities of India. Some of the most boarded trains to and from Chandigarh are Jan Shatabdi, Shatabdi, Himalayan Queen, Paschim Express, Chennai Express, Sadbhavna Express and Kerala Sampark Kranti. Travelers can reach from Mumbai to Chandigarh through Paschim Express and Chennai to Chandigarh can be easily reached by Dehradun-Chandigarh Madras Express, among many other trains. Superfast and Express trains connect Kolkata to Chandigarh. Yesvantpur Junction Skrantiexp is the fastest train that operates from Bangalore to Chandigarh.
However, there are no direct trains from Hyderabad to Chandigarh. So, there are connecting ones from Delhi that take passengers to Chandigarh. Various superfast trains connect Ahmedabad to Chandigarh. Yesvantpur Chandigarh Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express connects Pune to Chandigarh.
On reaching railways station of Chandigarh, tourists can conveniently take a bus or auto, or hire a cab or taxi to be at place of their choice in the city.
